Our Story

Amor Cera Aromas began while I was on maternity leave with Freddie, at home through winter with a toddler and a newborn.

When my favourite wax melt vendor stopped trading, Ryan bought me a kit so I could try making my own. What started as something small quickly became my outlet—something that was just for me and reminded me that I was still me, not only Mum.

I loved making them so much that our house quickly filled with wax melts. Eventually, Ryan told me I either had to stop making them or start selling them 😆

So I opened an Instagram account and an Etsy shop. Six months later, I started building my own website despite having absolutely no idea how to do it. Everything has been a learning curve, and I’ve taught myself as I’ve gone along.

During that journey, I discovered essential oils and created Calm Oasis and Dream Oasis for Frankie. I wanted to create a calm, comforting atmosphere at home that could help him regulate and relax.

Those two products became especially meaningful to me, so 20% of every Calm Oasis and Dream Oasis sale is donated to a local children’s autism charity—helping other children and families like ours.

As Amor Cera grew, it became my peace during a time when I was struggling. I would come home from my full-time job and sit on the bed crying—not because I didn’t love the role itself, because I genuinely did, but because I knew the wider environment was no longer right for me.

Walking away from a secure, well-paid job when we had young children and a mortgage was terrifying. But with Ryan’s support, I chose to put my mental health first and give myself the chance to concentrate on the little business that had given me a sense of peace, purpose and something of my own.

It was a huge risk, but it was also the moment I decided that Amor Cera deserved a real chance—and that I did too.

Today, Amor Cera is about so much more than making your home smell nice.

I want you to feel excited when you place an order, look forward to your parcel arriving and feel genuinely happy when you open it. Every product is made and packaged with care because even receiving something small should feel special.

Amor Cera is for the mum who cleans ten times a day and somehow the house still looks a mess. It’s for the parent who has finally got their child to bed and can sit down in a living room where the toys are now stacked in the corner rather than spread across the floor.

It’s for the woman coming home to her own space who wants it to feel cosy, comforting and homely.

I’m a homebody, so I know how important the feeling of home can be. Your home doesn’t have to look perfect to feel good. Some days you want it to smell clean, some days fresh, and some days you want to shut the door, get cosy and completely relax.

Fragrance can change the feeling of a room and sometimes even your whole mood. I want you to walk into your home, breathe it in and think, “Wow, it smells amazing in here.”

My dream isn’t to build an enormous company with twenty people working for me. I want Amor Cera to remain a small, happy and fun family-run business. I want to spend my time creating beautiful products that help people feel good, while building a life that works around my boys.

I want them to grow up as part of this journey. I want to give them every opportunity I possibly can, spend real time with them and have the freedom to follow Ryan around the country while he races—with a business I can take along with us.

Life can be hard, and mental health matters. If something I’ve made can bring a little excitement, comfort, calm or happiness into somebody’s day, then Amor Cera is becoming exactly what I want it to be.
