Candle Care & Safety Instructions

To get the best from your candle and ensure safe use, please follow the guidance below:

Before each burn:

• Always trim your wick to approx. 5mm before lighting
• Ensure the candle is placed on a heat-resistant surface
• Keep away from drafts, pets, and children

Wooden Wick Care:

• Trim to 3–5mm before each burn
• Remove any charred wood from previous use
• If the flame goes out, allow the wax to cool, trim, and relight
• Wooden wicks may take a little longer to light – hold the flame to the wick for a few seconds

Cotton Wick Care:

• Trim to approx. 5mm before each burn
• Keep the wick centred to ensure an even melt pool
• Avoid letting the wick become too long as this can cause smoking

Burning Guidelines:

• Allow the wax to melt fully to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunnelling
• Do not burn for more than 3–4 hours at a time
• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Do not burn the candle when less than 1cm of wax remains
